Margo Zoeller · she/her

Independent
by nature.

Margo Zoeller (she/her) describes herself as “the proud Filipina-American designer behind Malaya Floral.” Her all-inclusive floral studio is based in Charlotte, NC.

Her studio celebrates diversity “in both flowers and love stories,” with flowers that “don’t have to be soft and delicate.”

In her March 27, 2023 CanvasRebel interview, Margo explains that malayà means “free, independent” in Tagalog, chosen to reflect her heritage.

She describes a path from healthcare into wedding planning, first on weekends and then full time, before starting the floral studio. In that interview she says the studio began “last fall” — approximately fall 2022.
